Deep Roots Market Relocation Project

We've Moved!

After many months of excitement and anticipation, we are thrilled to announce the successful relocation to our new Greensboro store! Visit us at 600 North Eugene Street, between Fisher Avenue and Smith Street.

Our new store hours are Monday-Saturday, 7:30 am - 9 pm and Sunday, 8:30 am - 9 pm. Our store phone number remains the same: (336) 292-9216.  We'll see you at the co-op!

Area media coverage of our opening day announcement and subsequent stories:

The well-attended groundbreaking ceremony, held on Thursday, August 23 at the new location site, brought together Board of Directors members, staff, and community members in celebration of the long-awaited event. The assembled crowd of over 100 enjoyed Fair Trade coffee and fresh locally-baked goodies under a clear, rain-washed morning sky as they heard remarks from Robbie Perkins (Mayor, City of Greensboro), Chris Kwong (President, Deep Roots Market Board of Directors), Joel Landau (General Manager, Deep Roots Market) and Bob Isner (North Eugene Partners II, LLC). At the end, the golden shovels hit the dirt. So did the kids -- who, representing the next generation of customers, literally embodied the text of the sign recently posted on the site: "Deep Roots Market: Sprouting Here Soon!"

Area news coverage of the store groundbreaking:

The cooperative natural foods grocery, to be built on North Eugene Street, is next to the Fisher Park neighborhood and adjoins Phase 3 of the proposed Downtown Greenway. It is accessible via major thoroughfares including Battleground Avenue, Wendover Avenue, Murrow Boulevard, Church Street and Elm Street. The new store will provide the downtown area with a long-awaited full-service grocery store, and is poised to serve as a hub for Greensboro’s growing local food economy and natural foods community.
