About Deep Roots

Deep Roots Market began more than 35 years ago. 

We are a grocery store with multiple departments.

We are incorporated as a consumer cooperative.

For a smaller retail grocery store, Deep Roots is quite busy! We boast the highest sales per retail square foot of any grocery store in town, with many customers thronging our small aisles, which means we say "Excuse me!" a lot. 

For that reason, and several others, we are in the process of a relocation project.

We have 23 employees and 8 Board of Directors.

We operate according to our Bylaws as well as the Cooperative Principles and Values.

We are easily accessible in the city of Greensboro, North Carolina. We look forward to your visit!
